A Formal Apology And Prayer For Israel

It is no great secret that I do not agree with the current President on many things. I do not believe in his "spread the wealth" aka socialism. I do not support a government imposed healthcare system. I do not support spending twice as much as we make as a a nation each year...and I could go on all day, but one need only read some of my posts to see where I stand on most concerns.

Regardless of my very strong opinions on all of these policies, no stance is more important in our nation than our position regarding Israel. Israel is, first and foremost, a land blessed by God

Thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob. Ezekiel 28:25

Israel is a beacon of light in the middle east, which seeks only to survive and exist amongst numerous nations which daily seek it's demise. It is no accident that this tiny nation continues to survive and thrive while being surrounded by hostile muslim nations who have attempted on numerous occasions to wipe them from the map. If there is any physical evidence to prove the existence of our God in Heaven the continued existence of the nation of Israel in the face of threatened extinction by it's islamic neighbors is nothing short of a miracle. This small nation represents morals and values similar to our own nation and we must support her against all radical, evil elements, which rise up against her.

Rather than continue a friendly, supportive policy towards the greatest ally we have in this world, our current President has continuously thrown Israel under the bus. Most recently, he has called for Israel to withdraw back to it's pre-Six Day War 1967 borders. You know, one of the many times Israel's neighbors (Egypt, Syria, and Jordan) have joined forces in an attempt to destroy Israel.

This is incomrehensible, as it would make Israel unable to defend itself properly. Our President is stepping into dangerous territory by turning his back on Israel. I do not believe for one minute that he is representing the views of the people of our nation on this matter.

Mark my words...our nation has been blessed by God throughout it's history by standing up for decency, freedom, and liberty of mankind on the World's stage. The day we, as a nation, turn our back on Israel...we, as a nation, will cease to receive these blessings. I pray for Israel this day and for all the upcoming days that they struggle to survive in the face of our growing abandonment of them. May they be blessed and survive long enough that we might replace the personnel in our nations highest offices which seek to side with evil.

Time Magazine Editor Says Burning Koran Worse Than Burning Bible

GHOSH: The thing to keep in mind that`s very important here is that the Koran to Muslims, it is not — it is not the same as the Bible to Christians.

The Bible is a book written by men. It is acknowledged by Christians that it is written by men. It`s the story of Jesus.

TODD: Yes.

GHOSH: But the Koran, if you are a believer, if you`re a Muslim, the Koran is directly the word of God, not written by man. It is transcribed, is directly the word of God.

That makes it sacred in a way that it`s hard to understand if you`re not Muslim. So the act of burning a Koran is much more — potentially much, much more inflammatory than –

TODD: Directly attacking — directly attacking God.

GHOSH: — than if you were to burn a — burn a Bible.

As I was initially preparing a response to this extremely uneducated statement, I came across one written by Duane Lester which is better than any response I would have come up with:

News flash to Mr. Ghosh: Christians believe that the Old Testament was delivered to man from God, via people like Moses and prophets like Samuel and Jeremiah. Then came along Jesus, the son of God. Christians believe he taught, did miracles and he died on the cross for our sins.

We believe the Bible is directly the word of God. We understand men compiled it and wrote it down, but that it was inspired writing by God. We don’t think a bunch of guys got together and made the thing up.

The Koran was compiled and written by men also. I’m surprised the World Editor for Time Magazine didn’t know this.

There was this “prophet” named Mohammed and he supposedly spoke for Allah. He helped bring about Islam.

The whole thing was written down by men. Allah didn’t write it down and give it out on street corners. Man had a big hand in it.

The big difference is, Christians don’t go crazy when you burn a book because our faith tells us to love our neighbor, not behead them because some mustachioed preacher a world away torched a Bible.

Which brings us to a dilemma.

On one hand, Ghosh wants us to believe the Muslims have so much reverence for the Koran because it is directly from the mouth of Allah and on the other, we are supposed to believe Islam is the religion of Peace.

Pardon me, but if you truly believe the Koran is the direct word of Allah, and Islam is a peaceful religion, why are Muslims rioting and killing in defense of a book? You can’t have it both ways. You can’t claim Muslims riot and murder because they believe so strongly in the idea that the Koran is the true word of Allah and claim Islam is a peaceful religion.

It seems to me that if you are truly a follower of Allah, and Allah commands you to be peaceful, there wouldn’t be any motivation for you to go out and behead some random United Nations worker.

You’d just forgive them for their transgressions and pray for them to see the light.

You know, like most Christians do.

What Must Be Done To Make America Great Again

I just finished watching the "Restore Honor" rally at the Washington Monument, and the message from the rally moved me greatly. First, for those who do not know me, I am a Christian, and believe in the rapture, and of all that is spoken of in the book of Revelation.

I say that because I realized today, that on occasion I have used this belief and knowledge to comfort myself in the fact that the degradation of morals and principles in our nation is all part of God's plan....which, don't get me wrong, I certainly still believe to be true and do take a certain degree of comfort in it. What I realized I must not do in the future, is take such a degree of comfort in it that it weakens my resolve to fight against the immorality and policies which are destroying our great nation, as well as the world.

Today I asked myself, to what point am I serving God and furthering his will if I merely sit back on the sidelines and comfort myself with the knowledge that the Bible foretold this degradation of morals and decency, as well as the coming rapture and judgment. This serves nothing but to calm my own nerves. God did not call Christians to sit in their homes and take comfort that they were Christians. He called on them to go and spread the message and do works that honor him. I know I may sound a bit "preachy," but I am not preaching at anyone (except myself) right now. I am merely sharing with my small group of readers the message I received from the rally today.

There are many things which once made our nation great, and can make our nation great again if we will restore them to the fabric which once clothed our great nation.

That's right!! I said it!! Wait, Ron!! You can't say that and be a firm believer in the Constitution. The Constitution says there has to be separation of church and state!

NO IT DOES NOT!! The Constitution states:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

There is no "separation of church and state" phrase which exists anywhere in the Constitution. Note that the sentence above places restrictions on the government, not religion. Congress shall make no law to respect (sponsor) establishment of a religion, and they also may not make any law to prohibit the free exercise of one. That's right, folks...every law or policy enacted which tells someone they can't pray somewhere, or take their bible somewhere, or any other ridiculous story we have heard off and on over the last 50 years taking place which serves to take christianity out of the public eye, is unconstitutional!!

If you read further on why the founding fathers placed this within the Constitution, you get a clear picture that it was inserted to prevent any "state sponsored" religion, as they had seen how corrupt that becomes, i.e. Church of England. Yet, we have quietly allowed atheism and political correctness to pervert the true meaning of our Constitution.

This statement from our Constitution has been twisted to the point that it now is commonly believed that any action by any religion (especially christianity) which serves to make anyone feel offended or uncomfortable, must be removed.

Really?! Seriously?! Is that in any way, shape, or form what the Constitution says?? No. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the Government has the responsibility to see that no American citizen is ever offended.

If we are to become great again, it will be because we; once again, place our trust in God to rule our nation. We will return to the Godly morals and principles that founded our great nation. And, yes, all of you statist history re-writers, our nation was; in fact, founded upon Christian morals. Many historians, by defining "Christianity" and "religion" as one in the same in the writings of our founding fathers, have attempted to display a disdain for Christianity by the them. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is overwhelming documentation from our founding fathers that supports our nation was founded as a Christian nation. Their disdain was rightfully directed at state sponsored religion.

It is every American's free right to worship, or not worship, God as they choose. As a believing Christian, I hope and pray that each would come to believe in and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, but no person or government entity has a right to sponsor or enforce this or any other belief system upon anyone. What is equally important; however, is they also have no right or power to prevent the "free exercise" of it, either.

Obama’s Foreign Policy With Israel…A Trip to Bizarro World

Over the past year and a half under President Obama, I can note many decisions his regime has made which are disturbing at best. Nothing; however, goes more against the grain of everything our nation has stood for than the antagonistic stance we have taken towards Israel.

President Obama has gone to great lengths to weaken our relationship with Israel, at times behaving in a completely disrespectful manner toward Prime Minister Netanyahu. The current administration has taken a very stern, almost confrontational attitude with Israel. This is extremely irresponsible and ill-advised. Why, you ask? Well, let me tell you why.

If you are an atheist or have a problem with people talking about Christianity and/or God, please feel free to not read the rest of this article. I wouldn’t want to waste time you could be spending consorting with the ACLU to have the Ten Commandments removed from a courtroom somewhere in our nation.***

Israel, first and foremost, has always been our ally. They are the only ally we have in the middle east. We have always supported them and they, in turn, have always supported us. Israel is sacred. Israel is a blessed land given to the Jews by God. The Jews are God’s chosen people.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8 says “⁶ For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. ⁷ The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. ⁸ But it was because the Lord loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

President Obama has done many things that I believe are bad for our nation, both economically and morally, but I firmly believe that a continued lack of support for the nation of Israel by the United States will be the single decision that dooms our nation.

I wholeheartedly believe that the birth of our great nation was God-inspired. The founding fathers, contrary to how liberals have twisted their meanings over the years, founded our nation upon God. The “separation of church and state” was to prevent the government from sponsoring or forcing any one national religion on the people, i.e. The Church of England, which had most certainly left a bad taste in their mouths from the extreme corruption and politicism involved with a state sponsored religion. Their intent was most certainly not to disallow nativity scenes or the ten commandments from government property, quite the opposite. Don’t believe me? Let’s look at some quotes:

“ He who made all men hath made the truths necessary to human happiness obvious to all… Our forefathers opened the Bible to all.” **Samuel Adams**

“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” **Benjamin Franklin**

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are a gift from God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, and that His justice cannot sleep forever.” **Thomas Jefferson***

This last quote is almost prophetic. Can our liberties be considered secure when we have removed God, the one who gives us the liberties in the first place? As much as the liberal history re-writers have tried to remove this fact from existence, our nation was founded upon God and Christian principles.

The bible clearly identifies the Jews as God’s chosen people. I confidently believe we have been blessed as a nation. I further believe that God has blessed our nation over the past 60+ years for our support of the nation of Israel. The day we turn our backs on Israel we can expect to find ourselves on the wrong end of God’s “justice” that “cannot sleep forever.”

Even if you are not a Christian, putting Obama’s foreign policy decisions in perspective has to make you raise an eyebrow. He is continually distancing himself from Israel, and at the same time he is constantly cozying himself up to muslim nations. You know, the ones which chant ‘death to America’ in their streets and who’s own Koran tells them to convert or kill all non-believers. Oh, and I almost forgot…it has been almost nine years but they did murder about 3,000 innocent civilians in our land, but I’m sure they’ll make great new allies.
