State Of The Union (dissected and translated)

I'm not sure I will have time for everything in a speech full of emptiness, symbolism, and lies, but I will attempt to address some of the excerpts from last nights Obama campaign speech:

Now, by itself, this simple recognition won't usher in a new era of cooperation. What comes of this moment is up to us. What comes of this moment will be determined not by whether we can sit together tonight, but whether we can work together tomorrow.

I believe we can. I believe we must. That's what the people who sent us here expect of us. With their votes, they've determined that governing will now be a shared responsibility between parties. New laws will only pass with support from Democrats and Republicans. We will move forward together, or not at all – for the challenges we face are bigger than party, and bigger than politics.

translated: vote for the democrats bills, or the next catchphrase we will start using is gridlock.

At stake right now is not who wins the next election – after all, we just had an election. At stake is whether new jobs and industries take root in this country, or somewhere else. It's whether the hard work and industry of our people is rewarded. It's whether we sustain the leadership that has made America not just a place on a map, but a light to the world.

We are poised for progress. Two years after the worst recession most of us have ever known, the stock market has come roaring back. Corporate profits are up. The economy is growing again.

But we have never measured progress by these yardsticks alone. We measure progress by the success of our people. By the jobs they can find and the quality of life those jobs offer. By the prospects of a small business owner who dreams of turning a good idea into a thriving enterprise. By the opportunities for a better life that we pass on to our children.

I'm not sure "sustain" is the right word to use here. What has Obama done to help small business owners. As he properly referenced, they are the people who create jobs in this nation, and the only thing he has done is raise taxes on them and create more government regulatory red tape to slow their progress.

We did that in December. Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans' paychecks are a little bigger today. Every business can write off the full cost of the new investments they make this year. These steps, taken by Democrats and Republicans, will grow the economy and add to the more than one million private sector jobs created last year.

YOU LIE!!! Yeah, I said it!! Obama did not cut taxes one cent. Obama allowed the Bush era tax cuts to remain in effect. Let me get this straight, Obama blames every bad thing that happens on Bush, and every good thing Bush did he tries to take credit for. Plus, my memory isn't that short term yet that I don't remember how vehemently he, and his democratic cohorts fought to stop these tax cuts from remaining.

What's more, we are the first nation to be founded for the sake of an idea – the idea that each of us deserves the chance to shape our own destiny.

Exactly!! So please stop taking from those that go out and shape it and giving to those that refuse to. "idea", "chance", and "destiny" are not words that fit in a socialist nation.

Now it's our turn. We know what it takes to compete for the jobs and industries of our time. We need to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world.

Stop taking disproportionately from those that do this and giving to those that don't and you will create more people outperforming in these areas. It's really not rocket science.

We need to take responsibility for our deficit, and reform our government.

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal!! Is that what you've done the last two years on your spending spree???

Our free enterprise system is what drives innovation. But because it's not always profitable for companies to invest in basic research, throughout history our government has provided cutting-edge scientists and inventors with the support that they need.

translation: Tax and Spend!!

Half a century ago, when the Soviets beat us into space with the launch of a satellite called Sputnik¸ we had no idea how we'd beat them to the moon. The science wasn't there yet. NASA didn't even exist. But after investing in better research and education, we didn't just surpass the Soviets; we unleashed a wave of innovation that created new industries and millions of new jobs.

Tax and Spend again...also of note. How dare he use NASA as an example when he has, in two years, cut their budget in a big way and announced that they were going to be a muslim outreach group?

This is our generation's Sputnik moment. Two years ago, I said that we needed to reach a level of research and development we haven't seen since the height of the Space Race. In a few weeks, I will be sending a budget to Congress that helps us meet that goal. We'll invest in biomedical research, information technology, and especially clean energy technology – an investment that will strengthen our security, protect our planet, and create countless new jobs for our people.

Spend, Spend, Spend!! Note he uses the word especially when it comes to "green" research, because these liberals still expect us to believe in global warming!! They have made too much money off the fairy tale and don't want it to die. A large part of our economic meltdown can be traced back to the overburdening "green" regulations that have been enacted over the last decade by congress. They have strangled many industries literally to death with all of the crazy rules they've instituted in the name of saving the earth from all of us. All of this over the global warming hoax!!

With more research and incentives, we can break our dependence on oil with biofuels, and become the first country to have 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2015.

I am willing to bet my entire retirement that unless the government buys 90% of them, that this will not happen. Really want to jumpstart the economy??? Stop with this electric car farce and DRILL BABY DRILL!!

We need to get behind this innovation. And to help pay for it, I'm asking Congress to eliminate the billions in taxpayer dollars we currently give to oil companies.

YOU LIE again!!! The government does not pay oil companies. Are you kidding me. The government taxes the hell out of oil companies, refuses to let them drill where they know there is oil, and attempts to villainize them if they dare to turn a 5% profit. What a joke this statement is!!!

Now, clean energy breakthroughs will only translate into clean energy jobs if businesses know there will be a market for what they're selling.

Uh, sorry Mr. President, free enterprise and capitalism will determine if there is a market for the above technology. When the government attempts to strong-arm capitalism and free markets in this manner it destroys the entire economy...see past American History for all the details.

Think about it. Over the next ten years, nearly half of all new jobs will require education that goes beyond a high school degree. And yet, as many as a quarter of our students aren't even finishing high school. The quality of our math and science education lags behind many other nations. America has fallen to 9th in the proportion of young people with a college degree. And so the question is whether all of us – as citizens, and as parents – are willing to do what's necessary to give every child a chance to succeed.

Yes, all those families in Washington DC thank you for cancelling their voucher programs. Well done.

Okay, I must apologize. I cannot read anymore of this transcript. The lies and misinformation are making me angry and I feel the urge to kick puppies...sorry PETA.

I can best sum up my response to the State of the Union with this line from Billy madison:

"Nowhere in your rambling incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."

Aww! They're Going To Sit Together. Symbolism is Stupid!!

I'm not sure if you caught it in the title, but I really hate symbolism.

I mean seriously, do they think the American people are going to see this pointless gesture as an actual "mending of the fences." Are John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi going to be seen walking arm in arm each day to and from Capitol Hill?? Will there be compromise amongst lawmakers on passing legislation? I, for one, sure hope not!!! That's not what the American people elected the new Congress for. November's election was a statement by the American people that we wanted the legislating away of our freedoms to stop!! We want bills like the 3000 page unconstitutional Obamacare legislation to end. We want the out of control spending of our grandchildren's money to be squashed!!

This is obviously a ploy by liberals in the hopes that the newly elected Congress will do just that, compromise. I pray they will remember why they were elected and represent the people of America who elected them. I don't recall much compromise in the voices of the liberals when Obama was elected and they owned a filibuster-proof majority. Much needs to be done to repair the extreme damage that has been done to the Republic in the last two years. I pray our new Congress has the fortitude to do it.

On a lighter note, I am hearing disturbing news that many are planning on playing drinking games during the State of the Union address tonight. Apparently, President Obama is going insult the intelligence of Americans by using the word "investing" to disguise the unpopular word he really means, "spending." I implore conservatives to not play this game, as I fear thousands could end up in emergency rooms tonight with alcohol poisoning.

Civility is a Two Way Street

I am hearing two words used quite a bit lately by the state run media as well as politicians, rhetoric and civility. The recent tragedy in Tucson has shed light on exactly how ugly politicians can be. Much like a Marine can become numb to the violence of war when faced with it consistently, politicians are numb to decency and proper courtesy when it comes to commenting on tragic events.

It seems left wing politicians do not understand the proper adult behavior that is expected and required after such a tragic event, where lives were lost. Rather than see it as a humbling and sad occurrence, which requires a time for mourning for all directly involved, they immediately see the political angles they might take in order to destroy their opponents and build “street cred” in the political world.

Almost immediately after the shooting, liberal politicians and pundits seized upon a map Sarah Palin had created during election season with crosshairs on it to show which districts were winnable districts for conservatives in November. They launched a character-assassination campaign which was bold enough to actually blame the lives lost in this senseless shooting on Palin and her map.

Typical of liberals, they didn't bother to actually research facts in any of these claims, as it would soon be pointed out and proven that both democrats and republicans use these maps, complete with crosshairs, for every election season and have for some time. Additionally they scooped up another quote from Palin, "Don't retreat, reload." and attempted to convince the American people one of two things, A) Sarah Palin meant this literally or B) conservatives are too stupid to know that this was meant metaphorically.

Unfortunately for the media, Americans have awakened politically and are now unwilling to blindly accept media reporting as fact. It was amusing to watch the details of the shooter unfold over the next day or two. A chronic weed smoking, salvia using, psycho, who was infatuated with Congresswoman Giffords. He voted for Obama and worked on Giffords campaign in 2007. Not exactly a conservative poster child. Yet they continued with their baseless rant, expanding to radio personalities Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, and Sean Hannity. Now the liberal pundits were beginning to show their hand. They were going to use this tragedy to attempt to shut down free speech on the airwaves. "Violent rhetoric" they screamed from every stage they could find.

If I am to accept their theory as plausible, then there must be hundreds of left-wing initiated shootings in the last ten years, as the democrats might want to look in their own house before throwing stones. Here are just a few of the "peaceful liberal" quotes over the past decade:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Barack Obama, at a June 13, 2008 campaign fundraiser in Philadelphia.

“A policy of ethnic cleansing by inaction,” Barney Frank on Bush administration’s failure to rebuild neighborhoods in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, at a rally in Washington on February 8, 2006.

"..And then there’s Rumsfeld who said of Iraq ‘We have our good days and our bad days.’ We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say ‘This is one of our bad days’ and pull the trigger." — From a fundraising ad put out by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club

"You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch. I think he’s Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?" — Chris Matthews

Intermingled into their baseless commentaries now is the call for everyone to be more “civil” and stop all the political “rhetoric”. What I find so amusing about this call for decency is that it never comes when the left has the upper hand in the legislature. When they had the dominating, filibuster-proof majority in Congress it was perfectly okay for them to say and do whatever they wanted, as shown above. Here are a few more quotes from the peaceful, civil, left.

Yes, the left love to toss the first dozen or so slices of pizza in the cafeteria food fight, then chastise everyone everyone for lack of maturity and draw up regulations to prevent further food fights.

Yes, once again, hypocrisy, thy name is liberal. Though we must respect their work ethic. They are most assuredly workaholics. When the rest of the nation was mourning this tragedy, the democrats were strategizing and attacking. No, we can't question their work ethic. When everyone else was making funeral arrangements saying prayers, the Obama administration was printing t-shirts with campaign slogans for the memorial service. They were drawing up magical speeches for the President complete with (applause) drawn in. Well done, Mr. President!! Mission accomplished!! I see you got a 6 to 7 point bump in your approval rating from this. How proud the administration must be.

Ding Dong, Olbermann's Gone!!

As many of you know, I am extremely upset by the firing of Keith Olbermann. It's hard to believe such a classy guy would be canned by MSNBC. I am searching for what reason they possibly could have had and all I can come up with is the fact that he is the biggest douche-biscuit on television. Since when is that a crime on MSNBC???

The Next Person Who Says Happy Holidays Shall Be Punched In The Throat

How's that for holiday spirit??

I've just about had enough of the minimization of Christmas. Political correctness, coupled with bitter, angry atheists, have all but destroyed any remnants of the reason for celebrating this holiday, and I am at an unprofessional boiling point. Yes, this shall be one of my rants.

Does anyone really believe our nation is better off without the true meaning of Christmas allowed in public places? It is already an over-commercialized financially crippling mess. We have created numerous fairy tales to detract from the true meaning. From a fat man in a red suit who sneaks down our chimney at night, to flying reindeer with red noses, to a very unmanly enchanted snowman (that's right, I said it!! I hate Frosty!!), we will look to anything to not have to look toward or understand the true meaning of CHRISTmas.

Some time ago, people even started calling it Xmas, quite literally removing the meaning of the holiday. Shortly after this, some started celebrating a holiday during the same time period called "Kwanzaa", which is a fictitious holiday made up by a felon named Ron N. Everett, who changed his name to Maulana Karenga.

As insane as this sounds, in today's politically correct United States it is more acceptable to talk about this made up farce of a holiday in your public schools than it is to speak of Jesus' birth.

Anything which could offend anyone (minus Christians, of course) is shunned as intolerant. No Christmas trees, manger scenes, wise men, Jesus, or anything of the sort. It's as though there really exists a PC Grinch, who has ridden down the mountain and stolen our Christian symbols of the holiday. Unfortunately, his heart does not appear to be growing three sizes any day soon. Removing all Christian symbols not being enough, he (atheists) is now advertising the "No God" campaign on public transit systems.

Don't get me wrong. I am not demanding that everyone place manger scenes in their front yards and go to Christmas Eve service at a local church. I am not demanding everyone worship God or Jesus. Do whatever you wish during this time of year. What I am saying is December 25th is called CHRISTmas. It is when Christians celebrate the birth of their savior, Jesus Christ. If you do not believe in this than simply don't celebrate the holiday, but don't attempt to create other distractions and fictional celebrations to overshadow and minimize CHRISTmas.

If you want to be an atheist go right ahead, though I've not known many that aren't angry and unhappy 80% of the time, but it is certainly your right. Live your life as an atheist however you want to, but don't attempt to tell me how to live mine because I believe in something...

and don't give me that load of Bull about being offended by manger scenes and all that garbage. YOU BELIEVE IN NOTHING!! HOW CAN YOU BE SO OFFENDED BY SOMETHING YOU DON'T EVEN BELIEVE EXISTS??? It would be more believable for a satanist to say they are offended by the manger scenes, as I could see how the birth of Jesus would offend them, but you can't be offended by something you don't believe in. Guess what??? I don't believe that vampires exist, but I don't get all bent out of shape on Halloween, or when the new Twilight movie gets released.

Christmas is celebrated on December 25th of each year. It is called CHRISTmas for a reason. Merry Christmas to all who believe in the virgin birth!!! To all those who don't...Merry Christmas as well. To all those who claim to be offended by someone saying "Merry Christmas" to them....lighten up!! ride that sled back down the mountain and we'll let you carve the roast beast!! Merry Christmas!!!

A CHRISTMAS STORY

When four of Santa's elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure. 
 
 Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more. 
 
 When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where. 
 
 Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered. 
 
 Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a cup of apple cider and a shot of rum. When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the liquor.. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom. 
 
 Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. 
 
 The angel said very cheerfully, 'Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn't this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?' 
 
 And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree. 
 
Not a lot of people know this. 

A Test of Socialism

An economics professor at Texas said he had never failed a single student before but had once failed an entire class. The class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said okay, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset, and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too, so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the third test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise. And the professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail because the harder to succeed, the greater the reward, but when a government takes all the reward away, no one will try or succeed.
