State Of The Union (dissected and translated)

I'm not sure I will have time for everything in a speech full of emptiness, symbolism, and lies, but I will attempt to address some of the excerpts from last nights Obama campaign speech:

Now, by itself, this simple recognition won't usher in a new era of cooperation. What comes of this moment is up to us. What comes of this moment will be determined not by whether we can sit together tonight, but whether we can work together tomorrow.

I believe we can. I believe we must. That's what the people who sent us here expect of us. With their votes, they've determined that governing will now be a shared responsibility between parties. New laws will only pass with support from Democrats and Republicans. We will move forward together, or not at all – for the challenges we face are bigger than party, and bigger than politics.

translated: vote for the democrats bills, or the next catchphrase we will start using is gridlock.

At stake right now is not who wins the next election – after all, we just had an election. At stake is whether new jobs and industries take root in this country, or somewhere else. It's whether the hard work and industry of our people is rewarded. It's whether we sustain the leadership that has made America not just a place on a map, but a light to the world.

We are poised for progress. Two years after the worst recession most of us have ever known, the stock market has come roaring back. Corporate profits are up. The economy is growing again.

But we have never measured progress by these yardsticks alone. We measure progress by the success of our people. By the jobs they can find and the quality of life those jobs offer. By the prospects of a small business owner who dreams of turning a good idea into a thriving enterprise. By the opportunities for a better life that we pass on to our children.

I'm not sure "sustain" is the right word to use here. What has Obama done to help small business owners. As he properly referenced, they are the people who create jobs in this nation, and the only thing he has done is raise taxes on them and create more government regulatory red tape to slow their progress.

We did that in December. Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans' paychecks are a little bigger today. Every business can write off the full cost of the new investments they make this year. These steps, taken by Democrats and Republicans, will grow the economy and add to the more than one million private sector jobs created last year.

YOU LIE!!! Yeah, I said it!! Obama did not cut taxes one cent. Obama allowed the Bush era tax cuts to remain in effect. Let me get this straight, Obama blames every bad thing that happens on Bush, and every good thing Bush did he tries to take credit for. Plus, my memory isn't that short term yet that I don't remember how vehemently he, and his democratic cohorts fought to stop these tax cuts from remaining.

What's more, we are the first nation to be founded for the sake of an idea – the idea that each of us deserves the chance to shape our own destiny.

Exactly!! So please stop taking from those that go out and shape it and giving to those that refuse to. "idea", "chance", and "destiny" are not words that fit in a socialist nation.

Now it's our turn. We know what it takes to compete for the jobs and industries of our time. We need to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world.

Stop taking disproportionately from those that do this and giving to those that don't and you will create more people outperforming in these areas. It's really not rocket science.

We need to take responsibility for our deficit, and reform our government.

Hypocrisy, thy name is liberal!! Is that what you've done the last two years on your spending spree???

Our free enterprise system is what drives innovation. But because it's not always profitable for companies to invest in basic research, throughout history our government has provided cutting-edge scientists and inventors with the support that they need.

translation: Tax and Spend!!

Half a century ago, when the Soviets beat us into space with the launch of a satellite called Sputnik¸ we had no idea how we'd beat them to the moon. The science wasn't there yet. NASA didn't even exist. But after investing in better research and education, we didn't just surpass the Soviets; we unleashed a wave of innovation that created new industries and millions of new jobs.

Tax and Spend again...also of note. How dare he use NASA as an example when he has, in two years, cut their budget in a big way and announced that they were going to be a muslim outreach group?

This is our generation's Sputnik moment. Two years ago, I said that we needed to reach a level of research and development we haven't seen since the height of the Space Race. In a few weeks, I will be sending a budget to Congress that helps us meet that goal. We'll invest in biomedical research, information technology, and especially clean energy technology – an investment that will strengthen our security, protect our planet, and create countless new jobs for our people.

Spend, Spend, Spend!! Note he uses the word especially when it comes to "green" research, because these liberals still expect us to believe in global warming!! They have made too much money off the fairy tale and don't want it to die. A large part of our economic meltdown can be traced back to the overburdening "green" regulations that have been enacted over the last decade by congress. They have strangled many industries literally to death with all of the crazy rules they've instituted in the name of saving the earth from all of us. All of this over the global warming hoax!!

With more research and incentives, we can break our dependence on oil with biofuels, and become the first country to have 1 million electric vehicles on the road by 2015.

I am willing to bet my entire retirement that unless the government buys 90% of them, that this will not happen. Really want to jumpstart the economy??? Stop with this electric car farce and DRILL BABY DRILL!!

We need to get behind this innovation. And to help pay for it, I'm asking Congress to eliminate the billions in taxpayer dollars we currently give to oil companies.

YOU LIE again!!! The government does not pay oil companies. Are you kidding me. The government taxes the hell out of oil companies, refuses to let them drill where they know there is oil, and attempts to villainize them if they dare to turn a 5% profit. What a joke this statement is!!!

Now, clean energy breakthroughs will only translate into clean energy jobs if businesses know there will be a market for what they're selling.

Uh, sorry Mr. President, free enterprise and capitalism will determine if there is a market for the above technology. When the government attempts to strong-arm capitalism and free markets in this manner it destroys the entire economy...see past American History for all the details.

Think about it. Over the next ten years, nearly half of all new jobs will require education that goes beyond a high school degree. And yet, as many as a quarter of our students aren't even finishing high school. The quality of our math and science education lags behind many other nations. America has fallen to 9th in the proportion of young people with a college degree. And so the question is whether all of us – as citizens, and as parents – are willing to do what's necessary to give every child a chance to succeed.

Yes, all those families in Washington DC thank you for cancelling their voucher programs. Well done.

Okay, I must apologize. I cannot read anymore of this transcript. The lies and misinformation are making me angry and I feel the urge to kick puppies...sorry PETA.

I can best sum up my response to the State of the Union with this line from Billy madison:

"Nowhere in your rambling incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul."

Kitty Werthmann: Eyewitness To Hitler's Takeover, Draws Many Parallels to the Present.

This was a commentary written by Kitty Werthmann, who was a young girl in Austria when Hitler began his takeover. She draws many haunting parallels between Hitler's tactics and the state of our own nation today. This is a very worthy read for any freedom-loving American.

America Truly is the Greatest Country in the World. Don't Let Freedom Slip Away
By: Kitty Werthmann

What I am about to tell you is something you've probably never heard or will ever read in history books.

I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We elected him by a landslide - 98% of the vote.. I've never read that in any American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.

Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were going from house to house begging for food.. Not that they didn't want to work; there simply weren't any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need.. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people - about 30 daily.
The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to let them decide what kind of government they wanted.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany , where Hitler had been in power since 1933. We had been told that they didn't have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.

We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.

After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.

Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn't support his family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Hitler Targets Education - Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:

Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler's picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn't pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang "Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles," and had physical education.

Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it.. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.

My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn't do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun - no sports, and no political indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn't exposed to that kind of humanistic philosophy.

Equal Rights Hits Home:

In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn't work, you didn't get a ration card, and if you didn't have a card, you starved to death. Women who stayed home to raise their families didn't have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.

Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.

Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:

When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately established child care centers. You could take your children ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole generation of children.. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.

As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing.

We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn't meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control.

We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

"Mercy Killing" Redefined:

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded.

When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.

As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

The Final Steps - Gun Laws:

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.

No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

Totalitarianism didn't come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria .Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.

After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn't destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn't, paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness account.

"It's true..those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity.

America Truly is the Greatest Country in the World. Don't Let Freedom Slip Away

A Letter From My Son's Middle School Principal

Upon hearing the news the other day that "The Chosen One" would be blessing children nationwide with his vast amount of wisdom that only comes from being a community organizer, I immediately fired off a letter to the principal of my son's school, in order to determine if he would be getting a parent sponsored day off next Tuesday. His response is below:

Mr. Williams,

Thank you for your question and concern about our curriculum and instructional practices. I sincerely appreciate your interest. Your email was the first I had heard about a speech by President Obama. The last week has been filled with activities and meetings regarding fundraising for our middle school sports program, planning for a sports program with limited funds (still looking for a wrestling coach), PTO Meetings, and the normal daily activities of a middle school.

To answer your question, there is no plan to interrupt the school day to participate in a speech; other than Student Council elections late next week during Homeroom. Our focus is student learning and meeting & exceeding the Arizona State Standards. Feel free to contact me regarding further questions.

Having read this, I feel much better about the school system my son is in.  Maybe I was reading into his letter too much, but it almost seems to me he is indirectly saying that they have more important things to do than listen to the speech.  Anyone have any opinions on this letter??

Did We Win The Cold War? The Communist Trojan Horse

I recently read an excerpt of an article titled, "The Communist Takeover of America-45 Declared Goals" which was actually brought to the attention of congress back in 1963. It describes numerous strategies that communist Russia had to eventually overcome American democracy. I have included the reprinted article in the website below, thank you http://www.rense.com/.

http://www.rense.com/general32/americ.htm

I will not list all 45 goals, but I will list a few to give you an idea of how disturbing they are...disturbing because they have happened or are happening!

#13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
Once upon a time before school started each day we would all stand and recite the "Pledge of Allegiance." How many schools still do this? I don't believe many do. In fact, I recently heard from my seven year old niece that she and her fellow students recite a "dolphin pledge" each day to a flag on the wall with a dolphin on it. Does this disturb anyone? For anyone who wants to know for protest purposes this is the Ritenour School District in St. Louis, MO. Check in the box for the communists. http://www.ritenour.k12.mo.us/wyland/wyland.htm

#15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States

Does anyone really want to make the argument that the Democratic Party stands for the same things that it did 50 years ago?? The Democratic Party is not even a shell of what it once was. Democratic in name alone, it has become a party of statists, socialists, and yes...communists. It is now to the point where they aren't even trying to hide it anymore. President Obama openly campaigned that he wanted to "spread the wealth." The democrats wage a daily war against all capitalist principles. They have begun taking over the banking systems, the auto industry, and they are planning to enact socialized government healthcare. Mission accomplished comrades!

#16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

For any questions google "ACLU"

#17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

This was initiated with the removal of prayer from schools. Once that moral compass was taken away from children they were able to move quite rapidly in skewing textbooks towards social principles and away from the reading, writing, and arithmetic that our schools once touted. Below are listed actual courses which are taught at American Universities:

Stupidity-Occidental College- The course is supposedly an examination of stupidity "... ranging from the presidency to Beevis (sic) and Butthead (sic)." They don't name the president but I'm going to guess it's not Franklin Roosevelt.

Tightwaddery-Alfred University- In the course you are going to learn how living on the cheap will benefit the environment and improve your relationships. It also offers both instruction in theory and practice, which is awesome because there is no way you could understand how to save money without actually doing things like hitting thrift shops and yard sales. It also promises you'll learn how to avoid falling for rip-offs, which ironically is a skill you clearly don't have if you paid for this course.

The Science of Superheroes-UC Irvine- This UC Irvine course seems to be an attempt to address the concerns of a certain segment of the population that likes to debate important issues like whether sucking up gamma rays would turn you into the Hulk or a pile of boiling flesh.

Exploring Cybersexualities-San Francisco State University- The instructor is a lady named Mary Madden who has a Master's degree and lists "Online adult entertainment" as her area of expertise on her faculty page.

We have definitely softened the curriculum. Many schools don't give out "F" grades anymore, as they don't want to crush the childrens' poor, sensitive little spirits. They are now instructing entire generations that it's much more important how they feel than what they learn. I could go on forever about this but I must move on.

#20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

The mainstream media is obviously on board this communist train.

#21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

Hello Hollywood left wing whackos!

#22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

#23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

Check out the so called "modern art" which is beginning to show up in many cities.

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

Just turn an episode of any prime time show and compare it to something from 50 years ago like Bonanza or Andy Griffith. Note the differences.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

#28 has been mission accomplished for a long time. On #27, note the billboards and/or advertisements you see these days for "community churches" which claim no denomination or belief system. The billboards/advertisements generally have no bible verse, mention of Jesus, or anything that would give you the idea that they are really promoting God or biblical principles. They have generic phrases like "a church for everyone" and are designed more as a club than a place of worship. Or, for the other extreme, merely google pastor Jeremiah Wright.

This is becoming too long, but I would challenge everyone to look at all 45 goals from the link. They are a disturbing eye-opener which begs the question: Did we really win the Cold War? There might just be a Trojan Horse parked in front of our nation's capitol.
