The Government Shutdown Through The Eyes of One Marine



As the question looms whether the government will or will not shutdown at midnight tonight, it becomes increasingly annoying watching and/or listening to the media's spin on the proceedings. I have heard more faux outrage over the closing of national parks and monuments than I can stomach from most so-called news organizations. Seriously!! Is that really the major issue with the government shutting down??

President Obama is attempting to paint himself as the mediator and peacemaker between the Dems and Rebublicans, but it was he who sent Congress a budget which called for 3.7 trillion (with a "T") in spending when the estimated income of the nation will only be 2.2 Trillion. How many of us are so lucky in our financial arenas??

The Republicans have proposed an adjustment which reduces spending by 60 billion, or 1.6% of Obama's requested spending. The democrats, immediately, have called the spending cuts "extreme" and, with the ever-willing assistance of the mainstream news media attempted to portray the evil republicans as hateful people who want to kill senior citizens, starve children, and make everyone homeless. Here's my question...how many Americans still believe any of this fact-free fear mongering??? This is a card in the liberal playbook that has been played over and over again. None of the dire predictions by libs ever come to fruition. Utilizing common sense (tough for some) can you possibly believe that congressional representatives of any party want to kill seniors, starve kids, and make everyone homeless??? Additionally, could you possibly believe that cutting 1.6% of spending will cause this to happen??? If anything, this is a moment of clarity, when everyone should be able to see just how sick the liberals have become over the last few years with spending. They cannot fathom cutting it whatsoever, even when it is increasingly clear that our debt is spiraling out of control and our nation is headed for a painful crash.

To be honest, the paltry cuts the republicans have requested don't even begin to fix the problem. There should be many more cuts and they start with the inflated public sector workforce. There are so many unnecessary and pointless jobs and billets I see every day on the military installations I work on that it would take a separate post to get into the details of it. Civilian federal jobs on military installations have become an overburdening monster that must be stopped.

Now I see the media attempting to use the military member as an emotional weapon in the budget debate. What a nauseous viewing that is. I have three words for the media if asked how I feel about not receiving a paycheck, "SHUT IT DOWN!!!"

Whatever it takes to stop the bullying from the left on the right, who seems always willing to curl up in the fetal position in a corner and give in. I will happily sacrifice a paycheck or two if it will cause the republicans' testicles to drop and them to "man up" and stand their ground on the principles that the American people elected them for!!

Cut 60 billion??? I say cut 600 billion and then maybe I'll take you clowns seriously. After all, with a 600 billion cut we would still be spending more than we are bringing in. My bank informs me that spending more than I make is frowned upon.

Aww! They're Going To Sit Together. Symbolism is Stupid!!


I'm not sure if you caught it in the title, but I really hate symbolism.

I mean seriously, do they think the American people are going to see this pointless gesture as an actual "mending of the fences." Are John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi going to be seen walking arm in arm each day to and from Capitol Hill?? Will there be compromise amongst lawmakers on passing legislation? I, for one, sure hope not!!! That's not what the American people elected the new Congress for. November's election was a statement by the American people that we wanted the legislating away of our freedoms to stop!! We want bills like the 3000 page unconstitutional Obamacare legislation to end. We want the out of control spending of our grandchildren's money to be squashed!!

This is obviously a ploy by liberals in the hopes that the newly elected Congress will do just that, compromise. I pray they will remember why they were elected and represent the people of America who elected them. I don't recall much compromise in the voices of the liberals when Obama was elected and they owned a filibuster-proof majority. Much needs to be done to repair the extreme damage that has been done to the Republic in the last two years. I pray our new Congress has the fortitude to do it.

On a lighter note, I am hearing disturbing news that many are planning on playing drinking games during the State of the Union address tonight. Apparently, President Obama is going insult the intelligence of Americans by using the word "investing" to disguise the unpopular word he really means, "spending." I implore conservatives to not play this game, as I fear thousands could end up in emergency rooms tonight with alcohol poisoning.

Missouri Congressmen in Socialist Party of America



























The Socialist Party of America recently released a list of congressmen and women who are members of their organization. That's right, I said the SOCIALIST Party of America! We have been asleep for so long, not paying attention to what was going on behind the scenes in our own government, that socialism has quietly infiltrated our system of liberty and freedom, and now threatens our way of life. We must rise up and vote these people out if we want to save our republic. A republic that we can no longer deny is under attack from within. Many of the members, who can be seen at the below link:


are members that wouldn't surprise those who follow politics, but I am originally from Missouri, and still legally reside in the "Show Me State". I thought it important to additionally list below; for my Missouri readers, the Missouri socialists so that we might spread the word on their open membership in a form of government which goes directly against the Constitution of the United States. We must start getting active in politics Americans. It is our civic duty to maintain and strengthen this way of life that our children and grandchildren will never experience if we don't make a difference NOW, by flushing out this invasion from within.

Remember The Day The Democrats Took Over.













I received this in my email from a good friend today and thought I'd share it with everyone, as I am sick and tired of hearing that every problem in this country is George W. Bush's fault.  I wrote an article on this on April 13th of 2009.

A year and a half later and the liberals are still using this childish tactic.  This email puts it in better perspective for those who will listen.

Lest we forget....    The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd, 2007.  The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110th Congress. The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:  January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:  At the time:  The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77  The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%  The Unemployment rate was 4.6%  George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!  Remember the day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.  The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOS! (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy).  And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac????  OBAMA  And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie???  OBAMA and the Democratic Congress  So when some one tries to blame Bush...  REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

CONSTITUTION?? We Don't Need No Stinking Constitution...Say Dems

Democrats have taken another bold step towards dismantling the United States of America as it has been revealed that House Rules Chairman Louise Slaughter (D-NY) are attempting to pass the extremely unpopular Obamacare healthcare bill without it properly being voted on by both House and Senate.

Article 1, Section 7 of the constitution is clearly states how a bill must be passed:

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.

Or, if you don't wish to read all of that above I have conveniently inserted the Schoolhouse Rock, simplified explanation which I thoroughly enjoyed as a child.

This is, by far, the biggest 'in your face' smackdown of the Constitution, which congressional members swear to uphold, that has been undertaken by the Obama administration. It has been obvious for some time that two of the branches of our government are corrupt. If the statist liberals persist in this unconstitutional behavior, it will soon be up to our third branch of government (judicial) to prove that they are not corrupt. Some very difficult decisions will have to be made by Americans if all three branches prove to no longer be a representative republic.

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past. And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House. Is it that insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received? Trust it not, sir; it will prove a snare to your feet. Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with those warlike preparations which cover our waters and darken our land. Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled that force must be called in to win back our love? Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation; the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? Has Great Britain any enemy, in this quarter of the world, to call for all this accumulation of navies and armies? No, sir, she has none. They are meant for us: they can be meant for no other. They are sent over to bind and rivet upon us those chains which the British ministry have been so long forging. And what have we to oppose to them? Shall we try argument? Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten years. Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing. We have held the subject up in every light of which it is capable; but it has been all in vain. Shall we resort to entreaty and humble supplication? What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted? Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves. Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on. We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the throne, and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne! In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope. If we wish to be free-- if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending--if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained--we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! An appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us!

They tell us, sir, that we are weak; unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable--and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come.
It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace-- but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

Nancy Pelosi Is A Horrible Person...Even Leftist Network CNN Says So.

The video speaks for itself. Seriously, California...you can't find someone better than this to represent your state??? I wouldn't hire her to run a Pizza Hut, yet she is Speaker of the House.

Not to be forgotten is that this is not an isolated incident. Ms. Nancy has a history of pampering herself on our hard earned tax dollars. In early 2009, Department of Defense emails were released which detailed interactions between military officials and staffers for Queen Nancy. They painted quite a picture of the Speaker and her minions treating the Air Force as her and her families' personal taxi service. I have included the link to the article from judicial watch below.

Her Highness, Ms. Pelosi, is up for election this year. California, more specifically San Francisco...is this really who you believe represents your beliefs?? DO NOT ALLOW OBAMACARE TO PASS!!!

Dear Every Senator:

You shall not pass this monstrosity Harry Reid calls health “reform” because in your twisted arrogance you are blind, unable to see everyone around you recoiling in horror, from the left to the moderate to the right to the voice of the American people expressed in every last poll spewing from the MSM. You know when CNN reports, actually reports, such widespread discontent that you people haven’t the capacity to see beyond the fog of the Twilight Zone surrounding your District of Criminals.

You shall not pass this bill because we back here in flyover country know that whatever form it eventually takes at 8:30 p.m. this Christmas Eve, after you add a slew of amendments that weigh it down like rocks strapped to a hit vic, will be only scaffolding for the final hell you and the House will consummate and birth in committee next January, a bill that will kill the only healthcare in the world worth paying for, a bill that will blanket this country with single-payer care (despite claims otherwise), a bill that will destroy our options and stifle our liberty and not even remotely resemble your president’s hollow mantra of “hope.”

You shall not pass this bill because we cannot sustain your shopping spree. While the number of federal employees making over $100,000 has doubled in the past 18 months, and you just gave them a raise, the unemployment rate in this country is 10 percent and higher in many states you represent and not even close to getting better. In fact, the worst is yet to come. You’ve already sent us barreling beyond the legal debt limit and still you spend more so that you can travel far and wide, fatcat politicians laying claim to an endless stream of someone else’s money: OURS. You shall not pass this bill because it will break this country.

You shall not pass this bill because this country doesn’t need another liberty controlling shell game disguised as “entitlement.” You already have entire generations of people under the loving arm of the Motherland, nuzzling against her for comfort and care, in health (we’ll get to “in sickness” in good time).


You shall not pass this bill because it is NOT free and it will NOT do any good, except boost you’re own inflated and egotistical and maniacal sense of “making history.”

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to one day regret knowing that, by shoving everyone into the same healthcare plan, you destroyed our chances for ever grabbing a doctor’s time (otherwise known as creating “rationing”). You do not want to regret forcing people to become intimate with the wonderful world of waiting lists, as if we’re standing at the back of a line snaking outside our doctor’s waiting room into the hallway and outside the front door and across the street, stretching to the other side of the county. You do not want to regret forcing people to spend their waiting time being more productive than ever before … by reading War and Peace. While that’s unintended enrichment right there, Creator of Quality health care in the time it takes to read Tolstoy is not an epitaph you one day want chiseled on your tombstone.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to chase every smart kid who ever wanted to be a doctor away from medical school. Since doctors already earn less, thanks to Medicare and Medicaid, your health “reform” would push would-be medical students into something else, like garbage collection … or undertaking. Those two businesses are easily the least likely to fall under your government control anytime soon. Garbage is money, always has been (ask The Mob); and for med students, taking care of the dead would be just a few steps away from operating on the live, without the $300,000 in student loan debt or the hassles of malpractice insurance.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want be responsible for the invention of doctor trailer parks. Under Obamacare, doctors who stay in the biz (due either to their own altruistic reasons or, more likely, to government extortion in exchange for the forgiveness of student loans or practice-related debt) will experience the community joy of public assistance, using food stamps to fill a shelf or two of their refrigerators (if they even have electricity). They’ll sell their homes at a loss and move into federal trailer parks for doctors, seeing patients out of the back room to cut down on practice overhead. The parks will have names like Bones Village and Blue Star Doctors Park and Good Samaritan Estates and take the place of hospitals, saving the federal government billions annually (because, naturally, we’ll have to bail out hospitals by then, too). They’ll become tourist destinations; we’ll plan vacations around our doctor visits and then tour the grounds, letting little Jimmy ride his first x-ray machine in exchange for a $5,000 admission fee. Universities will offer classes about them, with names like Contemporary Medical Trailer Park Economics and Staph Infection in the Trailer Park Hospital. You Congresscriminals, meanwhile, will continue to conduct annual hearings on the State of the American Healthcare Crisis.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to create an entirely new travel industry. Under Obamacare, if you get cancer, you can see the world (or what’s left of it) after the Government Health Rationing Board rules you ineligible for care, saving the taxpayers (by then) billions. You’ll use your retirement savings, or what’s left after you pulled them out of the market just before The Crash of ’12 and hid them under a stone in the hearth, to take a fishing boat to Haiti, the ocean cruise business having gone under and Americans no longer visiting any country east of Bermuda after nuclear ballistic missiles, unable to reach North or South America, wiped out every other continent during Iranian President Ahmed Ahmadinejad’s failed attempts to annihilate Washington. You’ll meet a witch doctor who will make you drink chicken’s blood and mumble incantations while stuffing his face in a bong during a 4-hour ceremony to exorcise your tumor. Amazingly, you’ll recover and come back to America and live a long and healthy life, taking annual vacations (by row boat, since you’re now broke) to Haiti for preventive health care.

You shall not pass this bill because you do not want to be responsible for creating less congestion in hospital emergency rooms … for all the wrong reasons. Under Obamacare, your typical accident victim will be treated only if they still have more than 75% of their blood and all of their limbs and at least 90% cognitive function (no substitutes, please). This will preserve the dwindling blood supply and eliminate the waste of resources required to keep a patient on life support. (Plus, it will help save the planet!) And think of the boon for transplantation! Why, with all of the accident victims unworthy of treatment ending up dead, we’ll have mobile organ harvesting sites outside each doctors’ trailer park. Donor waiting lists will become obsolete … that is, of course, if the recipients are still working and able to pay their share of taxes in support of the Motherland.

You shall not pass this bill because, if ACORN can sue the federal government over funding cuts, you can bet your sweet ass millions of people in this country will gladly contribute to organizations willing to bombard you with lawsuits that will hold up your monstrosity for decades in courts. You shall not pass this bill because you can also bet your sweet ass that millions of us will refuse to purchase your mandated health insurance. You do not want to be the reason federal courts start stuffing American people into cells at the new Thomson Penitentiary for Enemy Combatants for refusing to submit to your unconstitutional authority to fine us and jail us and even shoot us over our healthcare insurance.

And we will resist.

Finally, you shall not pass this bill because you are supposed to be the voice of the people. You represent the state from which you were elected. You do not represent yourselves. You do not represent an arrogant and indecisive and thieving and weak president who is on the wrong side of what is right and on the wrong side of history. When it comes right down to it, you shall not pass this bill because, if you do, you can kiss your life in the District of Criminals goodbye; we, the right-wing teabagging mobsters living out here in flyover country, which curiously includes the states you represent, will make sure your careers of public indecent exposure will skid to an embarrassing and resounding and infinitely final halt in 2010 or 2012 or whenever you’re next election happens to be.

Count on it.

I encourage everyone to steal and repost this and to send it to their senator, Republican or Democrat or Independent. The vote of our lifetime is bearing down on us. We MUST stop it now.

For those who may have missed it last night, Rep. Joe Wilson had the audacity to tell the truth in the Capitol Building last night. I know, this is rather shocking to hear that the truth might actually still be spoken in those chambers from time to time. Even more shocking is the outburst was directed at the almighty President Obama, who, at that very moment, was; in fact, lying to everyone who was listening to his address.

I have included the video, not so much so you can hear the outburst, but what I found to be the most entertaining in this clip, is the reaction of Nancy Pelosi. Watch how she reacts after the comment is made. She gets this shocked, "how dare anyone speak ill of the almighty Obama" look on her face, and then continues to stare in that direction for quite some time, as if to identify who it was, so they might be the first to be sent to the newly built internment camps. In all seriousness, it was hard to watch any portion of this speech, as it makes me incredibly nauseous to see Obama, Biden, and Pelosi all in one picture at the same time. It's like the the "Perfect Storm" of radical statists, and it makes me reach for the pepto.

ARE YOU UNDECIDED ON THE PROPOSED HEALTHCARE PLAN? ASK CONGRESS THIS QUESTION!!

There is one simple question that everyone should ask their representatives in congress as a simple litmus test as to the confidence and effectiveness of the proposed national healthcare plan. Call them and ask this one straightforward question and await their response:

Will you and the other members of congress be subject to the same provisions of this healthcare plan?

Unless they lie to you (which is quite possible) they either side-step the question in typical politician style, stutter and stammer and attempt to explain themselves out of the issue, or they will let you know that a provision was added to the bill which eliminates them from being a part of the new system.

Congress and their families currently receive health care through the public-option-free, Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP) which allows members of Congress to choose between 283 private health insurance plans. Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) proposed an amendment that would require all members of Congress and their staffs to enroll in the newly-created public health insurance plan. His amendment passed by just one vote in the Senate Health Committee. In the House, Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV) offered a similar amendment and all 21 Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee voted it down. Apparently, the plan is good enough for us, but not good enough for them.
