What Must Be Done To Make America Great Again

I just finished watching the "Restore Honor" rally at the Washington Monument, and the message from the rally moved me greatly. First, for those who do not know me, I am a Christian, and believe in the rapture, and of all that is spoken of in the book of Revelation.

I say that because I realized today, that on occasion I have used this belief and knowledge to comfort myself in the fact that the degradation of morals and principles in our nation is all part of God's plan....which, don't get me wrong, I certainly still believe to be true and do take a certain degree of comfort in it. What I realized I must not do in the future, is take such a degree of comfort in it that it weakens my resolve to fight against the immorality and policies which are destroying our great nation, as well as the world.

Today I asked myself, to what point am I serving God and furthering his will if I merely sit back on the sidelines and comfort myself with the knowledge that the Bible foretold this degradation of morals and decency, as well as the coming rapture and judgment. This serves nothing but to calm my own nerves. God did not call Christians to sit in their homes and take comfort that they were Christians. He called on them to go and spread the message and do works that honor him. I know I may sound a bit "preachy," but I am not preaching at anyone (except myself) right now. I am merely sharing with my small group of readers the message I received from the rally today.

There are many things which once made our nation great, and can make our nation great again if we will restore them to the fabric which once clothed our great nation.

#1 God

That's right!! I said it!! Wait, Ron!! You can't say that and be a firm believer in the Constitution. The Constitution says there has to be separation of church and state!

NO IT DOES NOT!! The Constitution states:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

There is no "separation of church and state" phrase which exists anywhere in the Constitution. Note that the sentence above places restrictions on the government, not religion. Congress shall make no law to respect (sponsor) establishment of a religion, and they also may not make any law to prohibit the free exercise of one. That's right, folks...every law or policy enacted which tells someone they can't pray somewhere, or take their bible somewhere, or any other ridiculous story we have heard off and on over the last 50 years taking place which serves to take christianity out of the public eye, is unconstitutional!!

If you read further on why the founding fathers placed this within the Constitution, you get a clear picture that it was inserted to prevent any "state sponsored" religion, as they had seen how corrupt that becomes, i.e. Church of England. Yet, we have quietly allowed atheism and political correctness to pervert the true meaning of our Constitution.

This statement from our Constitution has been twisted to the point that it now is commonly believed that any action by any religion (especially christianity) which serves to make anyone feel offended or uncomfortable, must be removed.

Really?! Seriously?! Is that in any way, shape, or form what the Constitution says?? No. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the Government has the responsibility to see that no American citizen is ever offended.

If we are to become great again, it will be because we; once again, place our trust in God to rule our nation. We will return to the Godly morals and principles that founded our great nation. And, yes, all of you statist history re-writers, our nation was; in fact, founded upon Christian morals. Many historians, by defining "Christianity" and "religion" as one in the same in the writings of our founding fathers, have attempted to display a disdain for Christianity by the them. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is overwhelming documentation from our founding fathers that supports our nation was founded as a Christian nation. Their disdain was rightfully directed at state sponsored religion.

It is every American's free right to worship, or not worship, God as they choose. As a believing Christian, I hope and pray that each would come to believe in and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, but no person or government entity has a right to sponsor or enforce this or any other belief system upon anyone. What is equally important; however, is they also have no right or power to prevent the "free exercise" of it, either.

I will continue with #2 Re-establish America as a Nation of Production, tomorrow.

Concerning Strange Bedfellows (repost)

I am reposting this as I have noticed many crazies have once again grabbed the coattails of conservatism.

Concerning Strange Bedfellows

In my daily attempt to shed light on the liberals statist agenda that seeks to convert our fine republic into a socialist doormat for the world, I come across a great many characters with quite a few interesting viewpoints.

Throughout 2009, as President Obama and the liberal congress made it increasingly obvious that the oath they swore to uphold the Constitution of The United States meant nothing to them, a movement began which has been dubbed the “Tea Party Movement.” As the movement grew and gained popularity as a strong attempt to reclaim conservative values based upon the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets, many different viewpoints and, in some cases “fringe” elements have attempted to attach their causes to the coattails of this movement. Let’s examine some of the different schools of thought I come in contact with daily:

Those that contend the President and the liberal-run congress support policies that are socialist in nature, and therefore are not supported by our Constitution. I would say the vast majority of conservatives, myself included, believe this is true.

Those that contend the President and the liberal-run congress are enacting reckless spending policies on purpose in order to cause a catastrophic failure of the free market in order to enact a new socialist government…see Cloward/Piven Strategy. Quite a few are beginning to accept this theory, and I consider it to be a possibility. Whether you believe this is true or not, the problem here is that this thought process begins to lend itself to the conspiracy theorist crowd, which loves to take a small fact or truth, and run with it to the point that it becomes laughable.

The libertarian school of thought has been more widely accepted as of late, and a great many conservatives find themselves having “common ground” with the libertarians’ strict views of limited government and personal liberty. The problem with becoming too cozy with libertarian philosophy is the broad spectrum it encompasses. Some libertarians take limited government and go so far as to desire the abolition of the state completely. This school of thought seems to vilify all government representation as evil and an enemy of individual rights. Their “live and let live” philosophy is a close cousin to pacifism, which is typically espoused by liberal fringe groups…thus, completely perverting the initial belief system 180 degrees, and allowing persons who do not represent conservatism in any way a perceived voice in the discord.

For example, I have made many friends in the last year writing my blog and have utilized facebook as a mechanism for keeping up with these alleged like-minded thinkers. I recently witnessed disturbing articles and videos from some of these self-avowed fellow tea party patriots which were in no way based in conservatism or the Constitution. Everything from anti-war veterans speaking of how evil corporate fatcats forced them to take part in unjust wars to schizophrenic 9/11 “truthers” were included. Needless to say they are no longer on my friend list.

Overall, the Tea Party Movement has done a great deal to fight the statist policies that threaten to bring this wonderful republic to its knees. I am a staunch supporter of it and would march in every event they coordinated if my status as a U.S. Marine allowed for it. My concern in this article is to point out that as this movement continues to grow at such a brisk pace, it will be important to ensure that the leaders of the movement are policing the ranks for those that would misrepresent the principles the movement stands for.

Nancy Pelosi Wants Investigation of All Groups That Oppose Ground Zero Mosque

REALLY??? SERIOUSLY NANCY??? So Nancy believes everyone who has a differing opinion from hers should be investigated??

I'm game if she's game. I'll agree on the investigation of any groups funding opposition to the mosque if she'll agree on an investigation of every group funding the building of the mosque. Let's see who comes out cleaner in those two independent investigations, Nancy!! Also, while we're investigating everyone how about we investigate all the frivolous, unnecessary expenditures and trips you've demanded and made in military aircraft over the years, Nancy.

One should probably make sure their own house is clean before they start demanding investigations into everyone else's affairs. Liberal hypocrites!!!

Ground Zero Mosque...Reaching Out And Being Tolerant To Islam

I have waited until now to make any comments on the proposed "ground zero" mosque. Now that this is all the rage in political discussion I suppose I will state my peace. Let me begin by stating what should be obvious to any true Constitution believing American. Legally, there is nothing the government can or should do to prevent the mosque from being built. That is a dangerous precedent to set, and an area the government cannot be allowed to tamper with.

With that being said, the debate here is more on the motives of the man building the mosque, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. The fact that this man refuses to condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization and has been quoted as saying that America is an "accessory" to 9/11 is disturbing, to say the least. However, arguably the most disturbing statements from this Imam are centered around his belief that our nation must become Shariah compliant. These are not exactly statements from a man who recently claimed to be the "anti-terrorist" and therefore all Americans should be concerned with this mans motives.

It is time we stop turning a blind eye to the moves being made in our nation by muslim leaders. It is time we stop allowing them to claim their religion is a "religion of peace." Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf recently stated, "Our purpose is to interweave America’s Muslim population into the mainstream society." I am here to state again the majority American opinion on this, regardless of the politically incorrect nature of it. MR. ABDUL RAUF...WE DO NOT WANT YOUR BELIEF SYSTEM TO BE INTERWEAVED INTO OUR SOCIETY!!! Your Shariah belief system and crude prehistoric political system disguised as a religion could never mesh with our society and culture of FREEDOM!!

WE DO NOT ACCEPT the beating of women in our country!!!
WE DO NOT ACCEPT the forcing of women to cover their entire bodies in shame!!
WE DO NOT ACCEPT pedophiles and/or the marrying of seven year old girls by men!!
WE DO NOT BELIEVE a woman's testimony is worth half that of a man!!
WE DO NOT ACCEPT a man to have four wives in our country!!
WE DO NOT BELIEVE a woman should be stoned to death for the mere accusation of adultery!!
WE DO NOT FORBID our women to go out of the home alone in this nation!!
WE DO NOT REQUIRE a minimum of four witnesses for a woman to claim she has been raped!!
WE DO NOT ALLOW the mutilation of a female's sexual organs in our country!!
WE DO NOT CONDONE lying in our nation, not even for the furthering of religion!!
WE DO NOT ALLOW religion in this nation to force all to believe it or pay a tax!!

Many of the proponents of this mosque building effort claim that this is our chance to show what our nation stands for, that we stand for freedom and tolerance and that this is our opportunity to reach out and show our muslim brothers that we do not hate them.

Let me ask this question. We aren't the ones who murdered 3,000 innocent civilians on 9/11, nor are we the group who have conducted countless terrorist attacks since the 1970's on non-muslims worldwide. Why is it our duty to reach out and show muslims that we do not hate them when they have shown quite clearly that they, and their Koran's writings clearly demonstrate that they do hate, and will not tolerate us? I say if they truly are a "religion of peace" as they love to claim from one side of their mouths, then let them come forward and reach out to us!! Let them demonstrate that they will tolerate us and conform to our laws and our Constitution. Otherwise LEAVE!! Keep your infiltration concentrated on Europe. We can all witness the havoc your religion is causing in other European nations that have taken this "tolerant" approach to your religion. We do not need that trouble in America and I pray we wake up before it is too late.

Missouri Congressmen in Socialist Party of America

The Socialist Party of America recently released a list of congressmen and women who are members of their organization. That's right, I said the SOCIALIST Party of America! We have been asleep for so long, not paying attention to what was going on behind the scenes in our own government, that socialism has quietly infiltrated our system of liberty and freedom, and now threatens our way of life. We must rise up and vote these people out if we want to save our republic. A republic that we can no longer deny is under attack from within. Many of the members, who can be seen at the below link:

are members that wouldn't surprise those who follow politics, but I am originally from Missouri, and still legally reside in the "Show Me State". I thought it important to additionally list below; for my Missouri readers, the Missouri socialists so that we might spread the word on their open membership in a form of government which goes directly against the Constitution of the United States. We must start getting active in politics Americans. It is our civic duty to maintain and strengthen this way of life that our children and grandchildren will never experience if we don't make a difference NOW, by flushing out this invasion from within.

Missouri Socialists in Congress:

William “Lacy” Clay (MO-01)
Emanuel Cleaver (MO-05)

We do not need socialism in the fine state of Missouri. Get the word out and let's get rid of them!!

Remember The Day The Democrats Took Over.

I received this in my email from a good friend today and thought I'd share it with everyone, as I am sick and tired of hearing that every problem in this country is George W. Bush's fault. I wrote an article on this on April 13th of 2009.
http://silentnomoremajority.blogspot.com/2009/04/its-still-all-bushs-fault.html
A year and a half later and the liberals are still using this childish tactic. This email puts it in better perspective for those who will listen.

Lest we forget.... The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd, 2007. The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110th Congress. The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress: At the time: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION! Remember the day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOS! (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac???? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie??? OBAMA and the Democratic Congress So when some one tries to blame Bush... REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"
Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving.
Set the record straight on Bush!

The President Without A Country

I read this and it quite accurately described my views on the matter, so I re-posted it here. It's original entry may be seen at:

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=100283

The President Without A Country by Pat Boone

"We're no longer a Christian nation." – President Barack Obama, June 2007

"America has been arrogant." – President Barack Obama

"After 9/11, America didn't always live up to her ideals."

– President Barack Obama

"You might say that America is a Muslim nation."

– President Barack Obama, Egypt 2009

Thinking about these and other statements made by the man who wears the title of president … I keep wondering what country he believes he's president of.

In one of my very favorite stories, Edward Everett Hale's "The Man without a Country," a young Army lieutenant named Philip Nolan stands condemned for treason during the Revolutionary War, having come under the influence of Aaron Burr. When the judge asks him if he wishes to say anything before sentence is passed, young Nolan defiantly exclaims, "Damn the United States! I wish I might never hear of the United States again!"

The stunned silence in the courtroom is palpable, pulsing. After a long pause, the judge soberly says to the angry lieutenant: "You have just pronounced your own sentence. You will never hear of the United States again. I sentence you to spend the rest of your life at sea, on one or another of this country's naval vessels – under strict orders that no one will ever speak to you again about the country you have just cursed."

And so it was. Philip Nolan was taken away and spent the next 40 years at sea, never hearing anything but an occasional slip of the tongue about America. The last few pages of the story, recounting Nolan's dying hours in his small stateroom – now turned into a shrine to the country he foreswore – never fail to bring me to tears. And I find my own love for this dream, this miracle called America, refreshed and renewed. I know how blessed and unique we are.

Is Shariah law coming to a court near you? Get "Stealth Jihad" – Robert Spencer's expose about efforts to quietly establish the Muslim system in Amerca

But reading and hearing the audacious, shocking statements of the man who was recently elected our president – a young black man living the impossible dream of millions of young Americans, past and present, black and white – I want to ask him, "Just what country do you think you're president of?"

You surely can't be referring to the United States of America, can you? America is emphatically a Christian nation, and has been from its inception! Seventy percent of her citizens identify themselves as Christian. The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution were framed, written and ratified by Christians. It's because this was, and is, a nation built on and guided by Judeo-Christian biblical principles that you, sir, have had the inestimable privilege of being elected her president.

You studied law at Harvard, didn't you, sir? You taught constitutional law in Chicago? Did you not ever read the statement of John Jay, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and an author of the landmark "Federalist Papers": "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers – and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of ourChristian nation – to select and prefer Christians for their rulers"?

In your studies, you surely must have read the decision of the Supreme Court in 1892: "Our lives and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of theRedeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian."

Did your professors have you skip over all the high-court decisions right up till the mid 1900s that echoed and reinforced these views and intentions? Did you pick up the history of American jurisprudence only in 1947, when for the first time a phrase coined by Thomas Jefferson about a "wall of separation between church and state" was used to deny some specific religious expression – contrary to Jefferson's intent with that statement?

Or, wait a minute … were your ideas about America's Christianity formed during the 20 years you were a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ under your pastor, Jeremiah Wright? Is that where you got the idea that "America is no longer a Christian nation"? Is this where you, even as you came to call yourself a Christian, formed the belief that "America has been arrogant"?

Even if that's the understandable explanation of your damning of your country and accusingthe whole nation (not just a few military officials trying their best to keep more Americans from being murdered by jihadists) of "not always living up to her ideals," how did you come up with the ridiculous, alarming notion that we might be "considered a Muslim nation"?

Is it because there are some 2 million or more Muslims living here, trying to be good Americans? Out of a current population of over 300 million, 70 percent of whom are Christians? Does that make us, by any rational definition, a "Muslim nation"?

Why are we not, then, a "Chinese nation"? A "Korean nation"? Even a "Vietnamese nation"? There are even more of these distinct groups in America than Muslims. And if the distinction you're trying to make is a religious one, why is America not "a Jewish nation"? There's actually a case to be made for the latter, because our Constitution – and the success of our Revolution and founding – owe a deep debt to our Jewish brothers.

Have you stopped to think what an actual Muslim America would be like? Have you ever really spent much time in Iran? Even in Egypt? You, having been instructed in Islam as a kid at a Muslim school in Indonesia and saying you still love the call to evening prayers, can surely picture our nation founded on the Quran, not the Judeo-Christian Bible, and living under Shariah law. Can't you? You do recall Muhammad's directives [Surah 9:5,73] to "break the cross" and "kill the infidel"?

It seems increasingly and painfully obvious that you are more influenced by your upbringing and questionable education than most suspected. If you consider yourself the president of a people who are "no longer Christian," who have "failed to live up to our ideals," who "have been arrogant," and might even be "considered Muslim" – you are president of a country most Americans don't recognize.

Could it be you are a president without a country?
