Remember The Day The Democrats Took Over.

I received this in my email from a good friend today and thought I'd share it with everyone, as I am sick and tired of hearing that every problem in this country is George W. Bush's fault. I wrote an article on this on April 13th of 2009.
http://silentnomoremajority.blogspot.com/2009/04/its-still-all-bushs-fault.html
A year and a half later and the liberals are still using this childish tactic. This email puts it in better perspective for those who will listen.

Lest we forget.... The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd, 2007. The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, the start of the 110th Congress. The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress: At the time: The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6% George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION! Remember the day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!!!
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOS! (BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac???? OBAMA And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie??? OBAMA and the Democratic Congress So when some one tries to blame Bush... REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"
Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving.
Set the record straight on Bush!

  1. There are a number of places to cast blame. The American people deserve a lot of the blame for being apathetic and allowing these curs to take office.

obama did one thing. He has shown many of us that if we don't stand up for the Constitution, we'll lose it. I haven't seen such a massive wave of patriotic fervor in my lifetime and it's been generated by this unbelievably bad administration.

  4. I would like to add, in April of 2007, the deficet was ~148 Billion and decreasing over the past several years, with two wars going. In 2009 it was what again?

  5. Bush did not include the cost of two wars in his budget in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Bush did not include the cost of the Prescription Drug Plan D in his budget.Bush did no include the cost of the Bush reduction in the top tax
from 39% to 36% in his budget.
Bush did not do anything to increase jobs and lost hundreds of thousands of jobs in the last three years of his second term.
Bush gave his sec. of the treasury $865 billion to bail out the banks and brokerage houses. He did not include the cost of this failure in his tenure as president.
When Bush took office he inherited a balanced budget from Clinton and a surplus.
When Bush left office he left a $5 trillion debt plus the cost of two wars, the prescription drug Plan D and the trillions in his tax cuts for the wealthiest which were according to the bill--were to expire in Dec. 2008.
When Bush left office he left the unemployment at 7.8%. Today it is 9.0%. Obama had to add in the Bush job losses from eh Bush years.
Thus, Obama has added 1.2% unemployment-which includes the mllions of jobs and factories which were outsourced to China, India and other
    foreign countries.
The 1% want consumers to shop and pay taxes. The 1% skirt taxes and when they fail on Wall Street want the consumers to keep shopping while they bail out the wealthiest.

FActs can be checked. Check my facts and know the truth.

  6. Ronald Reagan raised taxes 3 times. Ronald Reagan asked congress for 18 debt ceiling increases. Congress gave them to Ronald Reagan and never asked him to cut spending.
Reagan said he did not trade weapons for hostages with Iran. He said--I never did that. I knew nothing about it. Then when he was shown documents of vouchers he signed--Reagan admitted he had forgotten.

I liked Reagan, met him and found him a gentleman and friendly. He was not as he is pictured today in American History. He was a good actor in the White House. He was better in his later life at acting than he was in his Hollywood career when he made B Movies.

Reagan lowered taxes from 70 to 40% for the wealthiest and then he had no money to pay for his invasion of Grenada and to fund his defense budget. That is when he asked for his 18 debt ceiling increases.

He was likable. But he was not one of our great presidents. Many people helped to bring down the Berlin Wall. The Soviet Union had immense debt and that helped to bring the wall down along with the Pope, Poland and the Russian people, too. It was one man's deed. It happened on his watch but had been a goal of many presidents before him and after him to keep them in check.

  7. Jaqueline, the Clinton budget surplus was a myth.
Here's a site that explains the whole thing. Since it is a conservative web site, you probably will not believe it but you can check it out for yourself at the Treasury site and that website is linked.

  8. I am thankful for all said above. I know there are people like myself, that know there has to be change. However, it seems that the gap between the isle seems to grow and makes it almost impossible to get anything passed that will 'help' the people of our nation, that work hard and desire to do right, and pay taxes. I have always voted for the 'person' and not the 'party' --- when Congress is in session, I wish congress would do the same and use vision and purpose as they consider what should and should not be past. . . to 'think' what is 'best' for the nation and not what is best for them as a congress 'man' or congress'woman'--- way to much greed consumes our nations leadership. Money spent for things that are uncalled for --- borrowing from other nations is going to be our real downfall in years to come. However, we got to this point, we need someone that cares for the U.S. and not about 'how much can I take with me' when I am out of this job in Washington.
